Stop eating junk food
Eating too much junk food is bad for you. You know this to be true. It is obvious. It sometimes seems, though, that our modern lifestyles leave us so hurried and rushed that eating junk is the easy option. And, in a sense, it is. You are probably reading this page, though, because you know that you eat far too much of it. Perhaps for you it has become an addiction. The good news is that these patterns of eating can be changed, and often quite easily and quickly. You can learn to stop eating junk food.
Nutrition and junk food
It’s important that we point out that we aren’t nutritionists, though we have worked with many types of eating problems and disorders for years. If you need advice about what to eat then go and see a qualified and experienced nutritionist. You can arrange this either via your doctor or privately.
Why do I eat so much junk food?
You may have come up with a bunch of reasons. You may describe your behaviour as laziness. You may think it is a self esteem issue. The real reason you keep eating too much junk food is this. It is a habit.
It doesn’t matter why you do it. It does not matter how long you have been doing it. It does not matter or when it started. What matters is how you are going to eat when you have changed the habit. We will train you directly. Having said that, if there are other issues in your life such as anxiety or depression these will need dealing with as well.
What are you going to do to help me to stop eating junk food?
We like the direct methods of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). We also use various hypnotherapeutic techniques. We focus on ‘how’ you think, rather than ‘why’ you are thinking it, because knowing why you eat too much junk food doesn’t mean you can stop it. However, knowing how to change the way you think about it (and therefore subsequently feel about it) can help.
On average, we expect to be able to make a substantial difference to your eating patterns within a very few sessions, and often just one makes a huge difference. Like we have said though. Go and see a nutritionist if you feel you need to understand nutrition more. Go and see your doctor if you feel you have health issues.
