Hypnotherapy And NLP To Overcome Hypochondria

We will help you to stop worrying about illness, help you to overcome hypochondria, and we will do our best to do this for you rapidly, effectively and easily. Fears such as hypochondria are common and the way that we work, with hypnotherapy and NLP, tend to sort them once and for all. Please get in touch with us now.

Hypochondria is defined as the irrational fear of being ill, or the fear that it is likely that one will get an illness. People with this kind of fear will tend to imagine symptoms, often to the point of actually experiencing them, and will spend many hours in the company of their doctor, undergoing test after test in the hopes that they will be reassured. With the advent of information available so freely on the internet, people suffering from hypochondria now have the opportunity of scouring the web to look for information on illnesses and disease, and many are caught in a seemingly hopeless loop of worry.

Where Does My Hypochondria Come From

There are a number of ways that people can find themselves trapped in the loops of worry that we label hypochondria. Maybe they actually suffered from an illness or disease, and fear the recurrence of their problems. Perhaps one of their relatives became extremely ill or died.
The fact of the matter is that it doesn’t make any difference how these problems originated, not in terms of stopping them. If your imagination is ‘out of control’, then you need to do something about it.

Hypochondria Is A Word For An ‘Out Of Control’ Imagination

If you are continually excessively worried about being ill, or about getting ill, then in our opinion you don’t need therapy, you need to be trained so that you are the one in charge of your imagination (rather than the other way around…)

How Are You Going To Cure My Hypochondria?

Most people suffering from these kinds of unreasonable fears know that the fear itself is unreasonable.  But rationally knowing that they are having an irrational thought doesn’t help them to not have it!  So the person will tend to get anxious about having the problem, and irritated and frustrated with themselves for thinking the unwanted thoughts, and all of these states of mind just feed the problem.

The best way to overcome hypochondria is to train your mind to be the ‘director’ of your thoughts, of your imagination, using proven approaches and techniques from the fields of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and hypnotherapy. You can change the way that you think about things, you just need to know how. You can also change the way that you talk to yourself, and we will tell you how to do this.

Think about how much of your time this problem has taken up. And start asking yourself the question, ‘What am I going to do with all the extra time, when my problems are fully in the past?’
