Hypnotherapy And NLP To Help You Stop Feeling Lonely

We will help you to stop feeling so lonely and begin to feel  much more confident in the way that you relate both to yourself and to others. This isn’t ‘therapy’ this is training for your thinking so please do get in touch with us now.

Hypnotherapy and NLP can provide rapid and effective help for those suffering from loneliness or feelings of isolation. ‘The fear of being alone’ is a different matter and is dealt with separately - CLICK HERE.

Loneliness – Being Lonely

Feelings of isolation are not necessarily connected with the proximity of other people. Many people experience extreme loneliness even when surrounded by crowds of others.

Whether your feelings of being lonely come as a result of depression, as a symptom, or whether you feel that your loneliness has caused depression, people suffering from loneliness are often labelled as ‘depressed’. Of course, you may well not be depressed…

The Mindset Of Loneliness

Feeling lonely is just that, a ‘feeling’. Often thought of as something suffered by elderly people, these feelings can be experienced by all ages.  Also, loneliness is one thing that many people don’t want to own up to, as they fear it will be seen as a weakness by others.

These feelings often produce a vicious circle in the mind of the person suffering from them.  Their behaviour, whilst feeling bad, doesn’t tend to do anything much helpful to stop them being lonely.

Associated Feelings And Behaviours

Very often the lonely person finds themselves behaving in ways which maintains their isolation, getting lost for hours on the internet or television, shunning invitations to social gatherings, sometimes turning to drink, or drugs, or excessive eating. They sometimes see themselves as worthless, or ‘less than’ others people.

What Are You Going To Do To Help Me?

This depends upon a number of factors. Usually, when the driving emotion is a sense of loneliness there tends to be other issues as well, such as those mentioned above.  What we do help you to focus on where you are, and where you are going, not where you have been. If you need work to help you to be more confident when communicating with others, we will help you. If you need to tackle long term issues such as depression or generalised anxiety, we will help you.  With loneliness, there often tends to be a sense of despair and almost invariably a fear of changing. We help you to overcome your fears and start to make life more of an adventure.

Hypnotherapy And NLP – The Direct Approach

We focus on the way you think, that patterns of thought that you are producing that have resulted in feelings of loneliness, and we help you make changes so that your mind becomes more under your control, so that you can direct your thinking and feeling in more resourceful and beneficial ways. It isn’t ‘therapy’, we don’t think of ourselves as mending ‘broken’ people, it is training. And because we haven’t got to spend hours talking about your past, the work is often quick, straightforward and effective.
