Information About Orthobionomy Therapy
What is Orthobionomy Therapy?
Initially developed by a practising osteopath, Dr. Arthur Lincoln Pauls, Orthobionomy is a therapy which addresses the muscular-skeletial structual framework of the body. The theory being that since all the parts of our physical selves are contained within and supported by the basic body framework, any flaws in this system will necersarily have a severly detrementall effect on all aspects of our health and well-being.
Orthobionomy Therapists use body manipulation and very gentle massage and compression techniques to find positions of particular comfort for an individual, thus relaxing and destressing the whole body system. This therapy system views the patient as an individual and all treatment is personally tailored to suit the person concerned. OrthoBionomists hold the homeopathic view that what cannot be cured from within cannot be cured from without.
OrthoBionomy therapists Use gentle limb positioning and a light touch to stimulate inner awareness within the individual toward natural balance and physical and emotional well-being. The inner wisdom of the body is recognized and affirmed. Self healing occurs as the person remembers their natural ability to move away from pain and toward ease
